SUMMARY:The Artist's Way for the New World-An Online Series
DESCRIPTION:The time is now. \nThe world is going to be radically different going forward\, and in this time of upheaval\, we will need people who can think creatively. \nCreative people stepped up during lockdown. Perhaps you’ve seen all the art on social media–classes and performances galore\, people making masks\, making memes\, and 3D-printing ventilator parts. Now’s the time to use our creativity to imagine the new world\, a world of peace\, justice\, accountability. Where we dismantle outdated structures\, and build a new society. To do this\, we need to dismantle the notion that says creativity is only for the talented. \nUnleash your inner artist\, musician\, writer\, crafter\, dancer\, singer….and let your genius nurture and inform the important work you do\, going forward. \n“Practicing an art\, no matter how well or badly\, is a way to make your soul grow.”–Kurt Vonnegut\, Jr. \nJoin me for a 13-week online circle\, using Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way. I’ve been using TAW since 1993 when it appeared on the shelf of my small town bookstore\, and can vouch for its effectiveness. It has gotten me unstuck a number of times over the years. In this online gathering\, will hold a space for play and gentle exploration. Now is a good time to reinvent yourself. \n“The tools of The Artist’s Way\, which have been working for several decades in ‘regular times\,’ are also tools that will work for us in our current\, ‘irregular’ times. The tools are aimed at unlocking creativity. They give us a sense of optimism\, they give us a sense of adventure\, and they help to fight the claustrophobia that many of us may be feeling.”– Julia Cameron\, 04-06-20 \n“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence\, it is self-preservation\, and that is an act of political warfare.” –Audre Lorde \nYour host and guide is Valerie Kravette. a lifelong artist\, SoulCollage(R) facilitator\, Color of Woman(R) Teacher and Intentional Creativity(R) coach\, as well as an animist minister with Tucson’s Web of Life Animist Church. \nThis 13 week series is offered through Zoom by donation.Email Valerie with questions and to register for all or part.

SUMMARY:Online Sacred Storyhealing Circle for Womxn of Color w/ Gisela and Desiree
DESCRIPTION:As womxn of color\, we navigate a complex landscape of privilege\, power\, and oppression — sometimes even within ourselves. In this circle\, we seek to co-create a safe space for everyone’s story as a non-white womxn — to explore the complexities of that experience together and to hold each other in compassion as we do so. We will lovingly delve into the legacy of colonialism in our lives\, the path back to our intuition and our ancestors\, and the ways in which we can embody and embrace our own indigenous resilience. If you’re seeking a non-white space in which to craft new\, more empowering narratives\, please join your hosts Gisela and Desiree for this sacred storytelling circle. \nGisela is a queer Latina/Middle Eastern writer and storyteller. Desiree is an Afro-Latina yoga instructor\, intuitive healer and changemaker. Together they seek to hold space for BIWOC (Black\, Indigenous\, and Womxn of Color) to access their own innate power and resilience. All self-identifying BIWOC (including mixed and biracial womxn*) are welcome to this online gathering. \n*Womxn: A definition of women that explicitly includes not only cis-gendered women\, but also trans women\, femme/feminine-identifying genderqueer and non-binary people. \nRequested sliding scale donation of $0 to $20. If you are working or have income\, thank you for your donation. \nEmail gatelis@gmail.com to RSVP and ask for a zoom link to enter. \nTo join the Zoom meeting:1. SUMMARY:Dispelling Colonized Mind-Animist Anti-Racist Healing Circle
DESCRIPTION:We do not have to be free of racism to be an Anti-Racist. Being an Anti-Racist means that we address racist ideas wherever we find them\, starting within ourselves. (Angela Davis and Ibram X Kendi) \nAs Animists and Earth honoring People\, we cannot move forward in an Animist movement until we specifically and consciously address the ways in which we have been colonized in our minds. This circle offers an opportunity to address the ways in which our colonized minds hurt us and our culture. Through rhythm\, intention\, and sacrd contemplation\, we seek to heal our internalized bias\, racism wielded and experienced\, and for those who are considered “white”\, White Privilege. \nAs Animists and Earth honoring People\, we sense how everyone is connected\, and the connection extends beyond Humanity. WE are the Earth and the Earth is US. As colonization spread across the planet\, it brought many wounds\, falsehoods\, and lies to our ancestors. Over the generations\, our DNA\, Minds\, and Souls have absorbed colonized ideas about every aspect of life\, including “domestication”\, time\, gender\, nature\, sexuality\, “history”\, “race”\, and on it goes. \nLearning to see the tendrils of Colonized Mind (which includes white\, male and human supremacy) within our thoughts\, beliefs and actions\, helps us remember our place in the circle of sacred humanity. Not doing so continues to inflict systemic and personal harm on our Black and Brown family members. \nThe structure of this circle is as follows:-Quynn opens the sacred circle with a prayer to the ancestors of the land where we are\, and a prayer of protection\,w specifically for all black and brown people.-A reading of wisdom from a black or indigenous scholar\, poet or artist to offer a focus for our inquiry and healing journey. Additional learning is suggested.-You will have the opportunity to journey within/meditate on the prompt while listening to Quynn’s drum (you can have silence or drum for yourself if preferred). New to journeying? Quynn can help.-Structured sharing for those who want to do so.-Closing the circle with a prayer for protection for those who are in harms way for peaceful protest\, and gratitude for the ancestors who fought for justice. \nThis circle is structured for safety in an Anti-Racist setting. All levels of understanding are welcome. The only prerequisite is having an open heart and mind\, and a willingness to CHECK OUR DEFENSIVENESS. \nDonations between $0-$20 are requested. Register here for entry link (in email receipt)https://weboflifeanimists.com/product/dispelling-colonized-mind-anti-racist-healing-circle/ If you are not able to use link\, send a message to Quynn to ask for entry link. \nDonations support We Are Done Dying Campaign from the NAACP. https://www.naacp.org/campaigns/we-are-done-dying/

SUMMARY:HEALING ACHILLES- A Workshop for Strengthening Vulnerabilities
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is a part of the “Dispelling Colonized Mind” series offered by Web of Life Animists. \nThe story of Achilles tells about the vulnerable area of his magical body armor. His name can be analyzed as a combination of ἄχος (akhos) “grief” and λαός (Laos) “a people\, tribe\, nation\, etc.” In other words\, Achilles is an embodiment of the grief of the people. \nOften the Achilles story is told to describe a person’s vulnerable areas in mind\, body and or spirit. This workshop uses divination\, the spirit world drum journey and sharing to assist each participant to explore areas of self-doubt\, grief and anxiety that get in the way of you being all you can be. \nExamples of areas covered (chosen by divination by each participant) are Body Image issues\, Self Love and Partnership\, Craving/Addiction\, Anger\, Grief\, Internal Dialog (inner bullies\, critic etc) and Confidence. These and other subjects can affect individuals\, as well as families\, communities and nations. \nIf you are interested in looking at any area that you feel is holding you back\, through the lens of your healing self\, join Quynn for this workshop. These deep and intense subjects will be tended to by your guides\, cared for with confidentiality\, and handled with a good dose of irreverance. :) \nWe will use a system of divination Quynn created with archetypal “Achilles Heel Areas” that will help each participant go more deeply into their healing needs. Spirit World Drum Journeys will help each participant gain insight\, support and new perspectives into these sensitive areas. \nPrevious attendees said: \n“Really excellent and great topic. I really appreciated the journeys and I had a beautiful epiphany. This is a safe place to do my work and be vulnerable in asking important questions in my life. In much gratitude.” \n“I found my experience to be deeply meaningful and upon having more time to reflect\, I am realizing also just how profound.” \nThis circle is offered by requested donation of $10-$30. If you are working or have an income\, thank you for your donation\, which can be sent by Venmo @earthwebmedia paypal earthtribetv@yahoo.com or at the bottom of this linked page\, you can donate with a debit cardhttps://weboflifeanimists.com/ . If you cannot offer $10\, offer what you can. \nMeeting is recorded and can be sent to anyone who is not able to attend live. No live participant shares will be recorded. \nEnter the room at start time https://zoom.us/j/597467834 \nTo join the Zoom meeting:1. Download Zoom Cloud Meeting from Google play on phone\, or on computer. Free.2. Click the link to join the room.3. Once in the call\, click the camera icon to add the video.

SUMMARY:Web of Life Animist Fellowship Service-Online
DESCRIPTION:Animism is described as one of humanity’s oldest ways of understanding\, rooted in the knowledge that everything has a life force and we are all interconnected. What we now call Animism can look a million ways\, yet we know we are connected. Corona Virus is a deep teacher about our humanness and our part in our web of life. \nTo know that you are connected\, even while separate from other physical humans\, means that you aren’t alone. In fact\, you are fully supported by all of Life\, and the Universe itself. \nIt’s a good time for you to open your heart to receiving this universal connection and assistance during these challenging times. \nThe Animist Gathering is a weekly fellowship service\, where Animists and Earth honoring People can receive synchronistic messages and supportive self-care during the time of sickness and isolation. \nWeb of Life Ministers share their gifts with you through meditation journeys\, channeled messages\, spirit healing\, storytelling\, music\, voice\, divination and fellowship. Together we strengthen our Animist connections while tending to our Soul’s needs. \nOur time together will take place from 1-2pm MST in zoom\, either video or audio only\, your choice. You do not need to speak\, listening is welcome. Grab a cup of tea or beverage of choice and join in the virtual circle with other Earth honoring People. \nThe Web of Life Church Animist Gathering is offered through your generous donations. During the times of Covid\, this circle is offered by requested donation of $0-$20. If you are working or have an income\, thank you for your donation\, which helps support Web of Life. SUMMARY:Dispelling Colonized Mind-Animist Anti-Racist Healing Circle w/ Quynn
DESCRIPTION:We do not have to be free of racism to be an Anti-Racist (as written by Ibram X Kendi). Being an Anti-Racist means that we address racist ideas wherever we find them\, starting within ourselves. \nAs Animists and Earth honoring People\, we cannot move forward in an Animist movement until we specifically and consciously address our internalized bias\, racism and for those who are considered “white”\, White Privilege. Whether we feel ready or not\, we must address the racist ideas and policies that founded and perpetuate our culture. We cannot skip this part\, as uncomfortable as it is. \nAs Animists and Earth honoring People\, we sense how everyone is connected\, and the connection extends beyond Humanity. WE are the Earth and the Earth is US. As colonization spread across the planet\, it brought many wounds\, falsehoods\, and lies to our ancestors. Over the generations\, our DNA\, Minds\, and Souls have absorbed colonized ideas about every aspect of life\, including “domestication”\, time\, gender\, nature\, sexuality\, “history”\, race\, of course white supremacy\, and on it goes. \nWe can heal our wounds and our ancestors with the help of our spirit allies\, so the new world can emerge. Learning to see the tendrils of Colonized Mind within our thoughts\, beliefs and actions\, helps us remember our place in the circle of sacred humanity. Not doing so continues to inflict systemic and personal harm on our Black and Brown family members. \nQuynn says “As the founder of this spiritual community and Animist church\, I take responsibility to host this circle of my own creation. I offer this weekly series as an opportunity to lean in to these challenging issues. As I host I do. I have always offered circles about subjects that I need too. This circle is no exception. I must do this work. We all need to do this important work NOW.” \nThe structure of this circle is as follows:-Quynn opens the sacred circle\, and shares a prayer of protection for all black and brown people.-A reading of wisdom from a black scholar\, poet or artist to offer a focus for our inquiry and healing journey. Additional learning is suggested.-You will have the opportunity to journey within/meditate on the prompt while listening to Quynn’s drum (you can have silence or drum for yourself if preferred). New to journeying? Quynn can help.-Structured sharing for those who want to do so.-Closing the circle with a prayer for protection for those who need it more than us and gratitude for the ancestors who fought for justice. \nThis circle is structured for safety in an Anti-Racist setting. All levels of understanding are welcome. The only prerequisite is having an open heart and mind\, and a willingness to CHECK OUR DEFENSIVENESS. \nDonations between $1-$20 are requested. Register here for entry link (in email receipt)https://weboflifeanimists.com/product/dispelling-colonized-mind-anti-racist-healing-circle/ \nDonations support We Are Done Dying Campaign from the NAACP. https://www.naacp.org/campaigns/we-are-done-dying/
