DESCRIPTION:During this challenging season\, we likely feel we want to stitch the pieces of our lives in a kind way. Join this meditative and instructional circle for a bit of creative distraction. Using patchwork techniques we will be making a circular 9 inch patchwork round that can be used as a top for a singing bowl pillow\, or made into a hat\, or even incorporated into an alter cloth. Bring any favorite fabrics\, and or embellishments\, such as beads\, tassles \, etc. Embroidery thread\, base\, and fabrics will be available for all. \nSlow stitching is a new term for an age-old practice of quiet gentle making\, mending and stitching. To slow stitch is to take the time to mindfully create or recreate something personal through stitching with needle and thread. \nDonations are accepted (Requested $5-$30) and you will take home the round you make. She has been a member of the LGBTQ+ community for 50 years. \nToday there are so many challenging situations that are occurring with unsettling frequency. Foremost\, of course\, is the avalanche of those who have passed for whatever reason. There are also scores of women who are mourning the loss of relationships\, jobs\, health\, sense of self\, or animal companions. \nWhatever your reasons\, we acknowledge the presence and appropriateness of your grief. We come together to release some of the pain and to redirect our attention to rebuilding and expanding as we continue on\, each at her own pace.

There are also scores of women who are mourning the loss of relationships\, jobs\, health\, sense of self\, or animal companions. \nWhatever your reasons\, we acknowledge the presence and appropriateness of your grief. We come together to release some of the pain and to redirect our attention to rebuilding and expanding as we continue on\, each at her own pace.

DESCRIPTION:Basil is a plant from india that now may be found thru out temperate gardens of the world. It has been used in animist ritual for thousands of years. The fragrance of the fresh plant is very useful in meditation to still the mind. The fresh fragrance as well as the smoke from dried leaves has a history of being used for protection from malevolent forces. \nThis very personable plant has much to teach about learning to listen to our spiritual allies. The calming fragrance is very attractive to bees which often bring messages while sitting next to a flowering plant. We will journey with crystal bowl and rattle to honor this plant and to ask for guidance to what needs to be known now. \nOffered by donation. \nJacob is a Basil whisperer and helps them grow in Tucson.
