Shakti in the Desert Yoga is healing on all levels of Being (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual) through a variety of yogic techniques such as movement, breath-work, meditation, chants, mudras, mantras, philosophy, as well as implementing different forms of the Divinity of Femme (Shakti) through creating sacred space, energy clearing and healing, ritual, oracle cards, journaling/internal reflection, sharing, and intention setting for cultivating balance, peacefulness, intuition, creativity, personal empowerment, and compassion in supportive community.

The Divinity of Femme is inherently inclusive. These gatherings are open to anyone who identifies as a woman, trans, non-binary, or other forms of identification connected to the feminine or femme of center (recognizing and honoring that femme is fluid).

Great for beginners and experienced yogis!

Dress comfortably, and be sure to bring your yoga mat, journal, water, and anything you would like to add to the altar (anything that reminds you of your goals/intentions, or someone that inspires you, to be taken home after our yoga practice).

Allison Constanza, RYT-200, Founder of Shakti in the Desert, is passionate about spreading peace and compassion through the art of yoga and the Divinity of Femme. She has been practicing hatha yoga for 18 years and has a background in Qi Gong, Reiki, and Divine Feminine spirituality.
Through the ABRY – All Bodies Rise Yoga (www.allbodiesriseyoga.com) mentorship program she is evolving her understanding and connection to the Divine Feminine by expanding her spiritual practice to the more inclusive Divinity of Femme.
“Femme doesn’t belong to one group of people because femininity isn’t used to oppress only one group of people… femme is about defiance. Femme is the word we have for reclaiming femininity, challenging beauty standards and the ideals of womanhood. Femme is the word we have for remixing femininity and womanhood and reshaping these things so it can hold all of our sexualities, genders, races, cultures, abilities, and bodies.”
Femme is intentional. Femme is not inherently connected to sexuality or the gender binary. Femme is political and radical. Femme is not intended to please the male gaze. Femme is authentic. Femme is rebellion against the patriarchy. Femme is for anyone who connects with the word.
