Explorations in Darkness Circle
September 26, 2018 @ 6:15 pm - 7:45 pm
Join Julie Birns, psychiatric nurse practitioner, member of ISA, Animist Soul Medic, and heart-centered guide, to share and explore the darkness within, an experience often unwelcome in our society. This weekly circle creates a safe space for sharing and/or listening. You are welcome to join for one or more circles.
This group is based on the Alternatives to Suicide peer support movement founded by the Western Massachusetts Recovery Learning Community (WMRLC). From the WMRLC website, “…As a community we have found strength in coming together to talk about many ‘taboo’ topics and to support one another in our times of greatest distress. Our collective wisdom and individual stories have taught us that the space to come together in this way can be powerful and healing.”
In addition to being a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Julie is a certified heart rhythm meditation instructor, peer specialist, and Alternatives to Suicide group facilitator. These groups played an important role in Julie’s own journey and she is excited to bring this wisdom to Tucson.
Powerful experiences result from connecting and sharing. Join Julie to experience how gathering in community can be a catalyst for transformation.
This group is offered by spirit-guided donation, but is open to all regardless of ability to contribute. Suggested donation $10-$20.
Please note: This is not a clinical group. Please seek clinical support outside the group as needed.
