Animist Children

Welcome!

If you are here, it is because you are a parent that is an Animist*, and you have a child that is too. You may also be an Animist that works with children.

*Animism is the belief that animals, plants and even objects like rocks, mountains, rivers, thunder, wind, and rain have energy to them. We are all connected and part of the universe.

Children are born wanting to respond to the world around them. This is part of surviving and getting their needs met. They also have an innate ability to tune in to nature. They notice so many things that adults overlook. When this ability is fostered and encouraged, children grow up to realize they are not alone and that they are being guided by a loving universe.

You may also be here because your child is experiencing characteristics that you would like to gather more information about. These are called extrasensory gifts and they do fit in with what is increasingly becoming a more neurodiverse world. This means that there is more than one way to experience the world.

We hope that you will be propelled by what you read to investigate further and feel strengthened in the belief that your child’s skills are worthwhile. In fact, we need their gifts!

Elisabeth Flower is an Animist Minister and childhood educator. She can be found amongst the roses and fairies in her garden, talking to the wild ravens and ducks, making magically delicious food, crafting ceremonial wear, playing with her rabbit and kitty, and being grateful for the beauty of life.
