1) Scroll to the bottom of the event you want to attend, and purchase a ticket. The link is in the confirmation email.
1) Scroll down past the description and look for “Details” and then “Website”. Click on the link to our group in meetup.com to rsvp there. Once you rsvp, you will see the entry link.

Online-Beat the Blues-Trauma Informed Mindfulness Somatic Meditation

During these important times, you need access to your wise mind while walking through your day. Why not start the week off with a dose of dual awareness…get your present moment on, get curious, exercise that wise mind!!
Come join this welcoming LGBTQ+ only space. The meditation style is loosely based on Tibetan Buddhist meditation practice. All experience levels welcome.
This is super chill, no demanding postures, stillness, and no ‘bad’ practice exists!
For those who are looking for an inclusive space to share their meditation practice or for those who want to start a practice, this circle is for you.
Since you will be in your own personal space, you can make yourself comfortable sitting on the floor or in a chair…lay down if you like!
The circle is an hour long with a 10 minutes instruction at the beginning if needed. Rachel will share a short contemplative reading, then will offer 40-45 minutes of a combination of sitting and somatic (stretching, breathing, body oriented) meditation.
This circle is led by Rachel Alexander who has been an active meditator since 2011. She received formal meditation training at a local Tucson sangha from 2016-2018 and continues to practice daily. Mx. Alexander is an active member of the Tucson LGBTQ+ community and believes that a sitting practice can help reduce the suffering of her beloved community.
This circle will be offered through zoom.

3. Once in the call, click the camera icon to add the video. Click the mic icon to unmute audio.
4. Please mute yourself upon entering to minimize background noise . Clicking on the microphone icon will allow you to mute and unmute yourself.
