Dismantling “Colonized Mind”-Animist Learning Circle

This circle takes place from 4:30-5:30pm P/MST (7:30 EST)
Colonized mind includes white, male and human supremacy. The CM sickness has now been spread across the planet by European settlers, and these ancestors brought toxic ideas about shame, self-loathing, “sin”,time, gender, nature, sexuality, “history”, “race”, and the list goes on.
It is time to find the tendrils of Colonized Mind within our thoughts, beliefs and actions and then learn what to do to dismantle them. Not doing so continues to inflict systemic and personal harm on our Black, Indigenous and Brown family members, as well as all our non-human kin. Colonized mind negatively affects all of us.
The structure of this circle is as follows:
-Quynn opens the sacred circle with a prayer to the ancestors of the land where we are.
The circle at this point will be streamed live to Quynn’s YouTube channel.
-The subject of the week will be presented
-A reading or recording from a black or indigenous scholar, poet or artist is shared.
-Quynn (or guest) will share a guided meditation or ideas to ponder, based on the particular area of focus for each meeting.

Whoever is in Zoom, we then:
-Discuss or share about our reactions to the content
-We Commitment to internal and external anti-racist actions in the world.
-The circle is closed by intending protection for those who are in harms way for peaceful protest and black, indigenous and brown people, and offering gratitude to all the ancestors who resisted oppressions of colonization.
