Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. The total solar eclipse will begin over the South Pacific Ocean. Weather permitting, the first location in continental North America that will experience totality is Mexico’s Pacific coast at around 11:07 a.m. PDT.

Compared with the last total eclipse that crossed the United States, in 2017, this year’s total eclipse will last longer, the sky will fall darker, and the sun itself will put on a much livelier show. It will also be the last major eclipse to cross North America for 20 years. The moon will be at a point in its orbit that’s comparatively close to Earth in April, making the moon appear particularly large.

The moon eclipses the sun during our circle, and our focus is about the meaning and impact of this eclipse in your life, body and soul. Immediately after we close our circle is the totality of the eclipse.

We do this with our intention, divination and by listening to a 15 minutes soundscape of rhythmic and nature sounds. After the contemplative sound journey, there is an opportunity for optional sharing within the group. Quynn might have helpful insights for those who want them.
