Reclaim Our Song. Empower Our Voice. Ceremonial Circle.
March 30, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
A quote from Woman, Unapologetic
By Soha Al-Jurf
To be a woman, unapologetic
Is to know
What it means to sing past
pain.
Shame.
The cracks in her own voice and the ways in which her voice simply does not measure up.
To insist that SHE is heard.
Maybe by nobody other than her self.
Over the generations our Earth and Womxn honoring voices have been bullied by the patriarchy. Our sacred song, wounded by Colonized Mind. These vital parts of us may be hurt and traumatized, but they are certainly not dead! So many of us have issues around using our voice, singing in a sacred way and speaking our truth, and the reasons lie in our collective past.
We invite you to join us in this ceremonial circle as we ask our ancestors and younger selves to join us for collective clearing and healing. Drum, Rattle, Bells, Singing Bowls and Voice call those who are ready to help, and be heard. Through time and space we travel the realms of reality to reach back to those who were silenced, so we can make offerings for helpful transformation. Fire and Water will be present to help us transform the restrictions of our personal and ancestral song so we are ready to share our voice in power-filled ways now.
Your guides Soha, Elisabeth, Dee and Quynn will hold space as we collectively enter into and return from the internal landscape with open hearts, strong rhythm and empowering voices. Please join us with your open heart to empower your sacred voice in the presence of other Earth honoring Humans and supportive Ancestors. The land underneath our feet, the sun setting in the sky and the emerging stars above our heads offer us strength as we ask for the long coming restoration of our sonorous soul.
Due to mature content, adults only please. ALL GENDERS ARE WELCOME. Please bring a rattle if you have one. We have some to share. We gather in our enclosed back yard and we enter through the front door, going through gateways of clearing and welcoming. Please dress for the changing temperatures from day to night.
Requested donation $8-$20. Donations benefit Web of Life Animist church. No one is turned away due to financial constraints.
