Sacred Artistry: Guadalupe Painting Circle
December 12 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join us for a transformative watercolor painting class where we blend the sacred art of Our Lady of Guadalupe with the powerful practice of Intentional Creativity. This two-hour session is designed for artists of all levels who seek to deepen their creative expression and connect with the divine through art and a drumming journey.
December 12th is the Lady’s feast day, and while she is a manifestation of Mary from Christianity, her indigenous roots go deep. I am not any expert, yet I wish to share an experience of this uniquely American goddess with you. Using Intentional Creativity we shall listen closely and paint a watercolor image of Her and the messages we receive.
**What You’ll Learn**:
– Intentional Creativity: Discover the principles of Intentional Creativity and how to infuse your artwork with purpose and meaning.
– Symbolism and Iconography: Explore the rich symbolism and iconography of Our Lady of Guadalupe and how to incorporate these elements into your painting.
– Mindful Art Practice: Engage in mindfulness exercises to enhance your creative flow and connect with your inner artist.
– Drumming Journey: Experience a guided drumming journey to deepen your connection with the creative process and the sacred energy of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Basic watercolor supplies are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own materials.
This class will be held in person, at our Hive space. I am still COVID and immunity conscious. I shall be masked. Our space is HEPA ventilated, and masks will be available. If you are still crowd-shy, this is a welcoming space.
This two-hour workshop is offered for a donation ($15-$35 depending on income). Donations can be made in cash, Venmo, or PayPal. DM Valerie directly for payment information.
Seating is limited. If you RSVP and cannot come, please change your RSVP asap as a courtesy to the facilitator.
Valerie Kravette is an Animist Minister and Pastoral Counselor, as well as a visionary artist, creativity coach and Intentional Creativity teacher trained by Shiloh Sophia and MUSEA.
