Animist Recovery Circle-In Tucson/Online
March 8, 2019 @ 5:15 pm - 6:15 pm
-Is for those who are actively tending their recovery from their addictions.
-Approaches addiction recovery from an Animist perspective, that everything is connected, and addiction grows in the pain caused by untended trauma.
-Utilizes the steady rhythms of a drum that opens One’s inner world
-Creates an opportunity to receive healing messages from helpful allies regarding One’s recovery.
For this circle we can look at addiction in this light-The traumas in our life, as well as the traumas of our ancestry, create disconnections in our Spirit. When one seeks to avoid the pain of untended trauma, it opens the door to the Spirit of addiction. Addressing the Spirit of One’s addiction directly focuses energy towards our own healing. Gently tending past trauma helps loosen the grip of addiction over time. Through connecting with our inner world we can request help from our Spirit of Recovery, When we call upon this helping Spirit, we can remember that we are strong, connected and whole.
Our Animist belief is that plants are teachers, even those that Humans use to self-medicate and numb pain. One can call upon the Spirits of Plants to help in Recovery.
At 6:45 we host a Release and Gratitude Fire Circle in our backyard. You are welcome to join us.
