That Olde Tyme Rhythm Circle

October 28, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 12:15 pm

“Rhythm has something magical; it makes us remember that the sublime belongs to us.”
-Goethe

This drumming circle is for those looking for an opportunity to explore the worlds with rhythm, for spirit world connection and soul soothing, in a group of like-minded Beings (human and spirit).

After opening our circle, we will call upon the cardinal directions with our drumbeats, voices and rhythm. Each direction has a feeling, an energy, a spirit that we will “play”. For each direction, the rhythm will be as long as it wants to be, and the style and feel of each will be unique. When the rhythm stops, we close the circle and offer our gratitude.

If you have a drum or other rhythm maker, bring it. If you do not, and you wish to participate, you may borrow one of ours. The focus of this circle is to learn to listen to your inner rhythm and then listen to the others around you to create a power-filled rhythm of beats. When we drum a harmonious beat, worlds can open up! Beginners to Experienced rhythm makers are welcome to join!

This circle is offered by sliding scale $5-$20 depending on income. No one turned away. Offer what you can. Thank you. Circle ends by 12:30

Your guide for this circle is Matt Mask, teacher, poet, storyteller, witch, ordained animist minister, trained shamanic practitioner, friend of divine rhythm.
